How It Works?
How solar energy systems work?
The sunlight hits the silicon cells on the solar panels and generates a direct current (DC). This current goes to an inverter, which turns it into household alternating current (AC).
Solar PV technology has proven its reliability and popularity over the course of many years. It has been booming for more than 20 years in many European countries, such as Germany, Spain, and France.
Solar panels
Turn sunlight into electricity.
Mounting system
To make sure you roof won’t leak, we use high quality systems with watertight flashing for pitched/ sloped roof and non-penetrating systems for flat roof.
Inverters
Convert direct current (DC) power from the modules into standard alternating current (AC) power. We use industry leading Enphase micro – inverters!
Meter
Measures the system output and allows you to sell power back to the grid.
Enlighten
Allows you personally to monitor the performance of your system remotely through the Internet.
Now you can see how much electricity your system generated at any time.
In our demo system, we are currently testing seven different brands of solar modules for quality and performance in Ontario climates. Go to http:/demo.sunbee.ca and check the performance of each module in real-time.
More interesting facts:
• The life expectancy of the solar panels can reach 40 years. This means that after your 20-year contract expires, the system can be used to offset your electricity bill.
• Manufacturers guarantee that solar panels will generate at least 90% of its output capacity for the first 12 years, 80% for next 13 years. In total 25 years of warranty on output.
• Solar energy systems contains no moving parts, therefore requires almost no maintenance.
